Division D Club Officer Trainings Winter 2020/21

The second season of Club officer Trainings (COT) brought a new learning format to Division D. Each Club Officer was given the chance to choose between different modules, 2 hours each.

December 2020 did not only bring the joy of first snowflakes and Christmas lights but two delightful Club Officer Trainings, that provided new insights, a positive learning environment and fun.

On December 4th, the area Directors of D4 and D6 started the COT season with two exceptional trainers: Margaret Jankowsky shared her incredible knowledge concerning the topic of “how to be a judge” and Michael Wegelin demonstrated in a very energized way how to attract guests in online meetings. After the training, the participating Toastmasters gathered online together and enjoyed the great community spirit.

The second COT followed on Dec 5th organized by the Area directors of D1 and D2. Steve Miller & Ranjith Venkatesh demonstrated with high intensity what Club Officers can do to “Power up your Zoom Club Contests & Spice up your Zoom Club Meetings”. The second workshop hosted by trainer Balazs Somogyi provided new approaches for Motivating Online Teams.

In January, the fun went on: on Jan 23rd, the area Directors of D3 and D5 organized the German COT. Herald Neuwirth provided incredibly useful insights on the topic of conflict management. Zvonko Karlovic demonstrated what kind of gear can be used to set up the ideal online meeting.

The COTs were complemented with a new initiative from the D1 Area Director, with two special Club Officer Trainings for Corporate Clubs. On January 21st our Region Advisor, Elizabeth Nostedt, gave us an insight on how Toastmasters can help us to strive in our business lives. On January 29th trainer Agnes Tarnai from Hungary led us into business storytelling, while Christian Block showed us how to energize our meetings, and District winner on International Speech, Kushi Pasquale presented good practices for us.

For Club Officers willing to expand thire own horizon beyond Division D, they had nearly unlimited learning opportunities around the globe but very convenient from their own device at home. Division D Club Officers used the unique opportunity and visited COTs around the globe, from Canada to South Africa and of course within District 95.

For those who want to continue learning, additional COTs are available during the month of February:
