As an area director, one of my dutys is to attend meetings of the clubs in my area. I think that this is a great opportunity to get to know the clubs, find out something about their special needs and most of all learn how I can support them.

Keep in mind that I do this as an area director. Therefore, I am there to observe and to ask questions most of the time. I do not attend the club meeting to judge or take immediate action and change entrenched parameters.

If there is a problem in more than one club, chances existing that more clubs in an area are in need of an aquivalent solution. Therefore, I have to observe different clubs to see if something could be improved or if it is a stand alone thing for the club. I am exited about this because I see the opportunity to get in touch with other Toastmasters and learn what is convertible at club meetings.
