1st Club Officers Training 2021/2022

The new Toastmasters year 2021/2022 started full throttle, with two weekends in July holding the Club Officers Training back to back.

Area directors Jan Gumprecht (D1), Claudia Pichlmeier (D2) and Lukas Tietenberg (D6) organized the English-speaking COT on July 17th. An advantage of hosting an online event was that PR expert Craig L. Curtis presented a topic all the way from Frankfurt am Main. Overall, more than 60 Toastmasters officers enjoyed a lively Saturday morning learning about their new roles and socializing with fellow members.

A week later, area directors Gudrun Zarth (D4), Irmeli Eija (D5) and Roland Jeche (D3) were in charge of the German-Speaking COT on July 24th. The presenters lineup was full of knowledgeable members from all areas in the Division, including Karla Viebahn, who recently moved away from Bavaria due to work and was able to attend thanks to the online format.

All in all, after this first round 2 clubs of our Division trained all their officers, thus showing strong intention to achieve the Magnificent Seven award. COTs help the officers to serve their clubs and members with the highest Toastmasters standards and are a rewarding experience not only for their Toastmasters careers but also for their private and professional lives.
